General Terms

1.1 The Sixth International Pleven Guitar Festival, for the first time will be held online through the official profiles of the festival on Facebook, YouTube, Instagram, Twitter, from September 3 to December 14, 2020. The organizers are the Art Next to Me Association and the LIK Community Center.
1.2 The festival includes concert; international competition in 4 genre categories, divided into groups of different ages; master classes; workshops; presentation of musical products, presentation of musical instruments and luthiers; as well as other events like online summer music academy and seminar for teachers.

  1. CONDITIONS FOR PARTICIPATION IN THE COMPETITION:

2.1 This year the international competition, which is part of the 6th International Guitar Festival, will be held online from 1.12 to 14.12. 2020 (see graph of the events).
The competition categories will be broadcast “live” on fixed dates through the social platforms Facebook, YouTube and others.

During the broadcast of each category, the international jury will evaluate the participants with a specially designed software, which will give the right to the audience to see the jury during the whole process.

Each participant submits in advance his/her performances, recorded in video format and in compliance with all the rules of the respective competition category, as well as the requirements for video recording.

In order to be as objective as possible, the vote of the jury is announced immediately after the end of the category. All evaluations will be signed and published immediately.

All participants will be able to see their result with attached comments. An audience vote will be organized for each competition category, which will determine the audience award for each category.

2.2 Necessary documents for participation (online application with a photo attached to it, data privacy statement-GDPR, a copy of a document for paid fee and if necessary a declaration for certifying the age of the participant) are accepted online no later than 13.11. 2020 Any candidate who enrolls after this date, but no later than November 20, pays a fee that is 20% higher than that specified in 2.3.

2.3 Each participant is required to pay a participation fee under a regulation as follows:

Classical guitar – soloists (international competition)
First A group: up to 9 years old – 30 euro
First B group: up to 11 years old – 30 euro
Second A group: up to 13 years old – 30 euro
Second B group: up to 15 years old – 30 euro
Third age group: up to 19 years old – 50 euro
Fourth age group (no age limit) – 80 euro

Classical guitar – Ensembles (international competition)
Chamber music:
First age group: up to 18 years – 30 euro
Second age group: (no age limit) – 50 euro
Guitar orchestras and ensembles: (no age limit) – no participation fee

Acoustic guitar:
First age group: up to 18 years old – 30 euro
Second age group: (no age limit) – 50 euro

Electric guitar:
First age group: up to 18 years old – 30 euro
Second age group: (no age limit) – 50 euro

Guitar and voice:
First age group: up to 18 years old – 30 euro
Second age group: no age limit– 50 euro

Unified payment is allowed for two or more fees (for guitar orchestras, ensembles)

2.5 Anyone can participate in more than one age or genre category, provided that he fully complies with the regulations of the respective groups in which he wishes to participate.
2.6 Upon submission of the necessary documents, each participant agrees to the terms of the regulation and agrees to grant free of charge the rights to the recordings and photos from its presentation in the competition, for the purpose of transparency and advertising of the event.
2.7 The order for the appearance of the participants will be organized on the basis of the applications for participation. The first to apply for participation will be number one, etc.
2.8 Regulation by category:

Classical guitar – soloists (international competition)
First A age group: up to 9 years old
First B age group: up to 11 years old
Second A age group: up to 13 years old
Second B age group: up to 15 years old
Third age group: up to 19 years old
Fourth age group: no age restrictions

Classical guitar – ensembles (international competition)
Chamber music:
First age group: up to 18 years old
Second age group: no age limit 
Guitar orchestras and ensembles: no age limit

Acoustic guitar:
First age group – up to 18 years old
Second age group: no age limit

Electric guitar:
First age group: up to 18 years old
Second age group: no age limit

Guitar and voice:
First age group: up to 18 years old
Second age group: no age limit

  1. PRIZE FUND:

3.1 Each participant who is registered receives a diploma for participation and prizes.
3.2 The winners in the respective categories receive prizes that are announced in advance on the festival website. They cannot be changed or exchanged for their monetary equivalent.
3.3 The prize fund is expressed in cash and in material prizes, which are distributed in the respective categories and age groups by decision of the organizing committee.
3.4 The official announcement of the awards will take place on December 13, 2020. The awards will be sent by courier at the expense of the festival.
3.5 After the end of the competition, the ranking of the participants is published on the festival website.

 4. CONDITIONS FOR ACTIVE PARTICIPATION IN ONLINE MASTERCLASSES:
4.1 The fee for one lesson (40 minutes) is 25 euro. For two lessons (with one or two teachers) it is 40 euro, and for three hours – 75 euro.
4.2 The number of places in the master classes is limited, and those who are interested will be satisfied in the order of their registration until the limit is exhausted.
4.3 The fee for active participation in the master classes is paid in advance by bank transfer.

 

  1. WEBINARS:
    Webinars on various topics will be held during the International Guitar Festival Pleven 2020.
    Fee:
    – Free of charge if the participant participates in the competition program of the festival;
    – 25 euro (the fee is paid in advance by bank transfer).

    6. ONLINE CONCERT PLATFORM

    Conditions for participation:

    6.1. Participants can be amateurs or professionals with no age limit.

    6.2. It is necessary to send a request for participation in which to attach a video with a maximum duration of 12 minutes with one of the following genre orientations:
    -classical guitar;
    -electric guitar;
    -acoustic guitar;
    -Guitar + (guitar and voice, groups, chamber music, etc.).

    6.3. Participants submit a video recording, together with the registration form. The deadline for registration is October 2, 2020. You should attach to it:
    – Document for paid fee;
    – Completed and signed GDPR declaration (protection of personal data) – form for participants over 18 – HERE;

    6.4. Each participant should have a good artistic vision and the appropriate clothing, which ensures it according to his ideas. Videos with obscene content as well as inappropriate vision will not be allowed on the concert platform. Videos that tarnish the prestige of the festival and of specific individuals will also not be allowed to participate.

    6.6 The participation fee is 25 euro. It is paid until October 2, 2020. After this date it is not possible to register. Fees are transferred by bank transfer, by credit and debit cards or through the PayPal payment system:

     6.7. Each participant will receive a confirmation of participation, as well as the date on which the concert will be broadcast with its performance.
    6.8. A week before the broadcasting, the organizers will publish information for each participant on the festival’s website, which includes a photo of him, as well as a short biography. The information will also be published on the social platforms Facebook and Instagram.

    6.9. Each video will be included in the ranking of viewers. The audience will vote for the best video and the top five performers will receive professional engagements from the organizers.
