Francesco Scelzo

Francesco Scelzo, born in 1990, he started the classic guitar study very early. He received the Diploma in Classical Guitar and the Master of Music Degree at the “Conservatorio San Pietro a Majella in Naples” under the guide of his mentor M° Maurizio Villa, both with the highest marks and honors.

In 2012 he received his Master of Performance at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London with Maestro Robert Brightmore.

There have been many successes in international competitions among the most important: “Ivor Mairants International Guitar Competition – London, “Brno International Guitar Competition” – Czech Republic, “Enrico Mercatali European Guitar Competition” –Gorizia, “Omis International Guita Cometition” Croatia

In 2010 he was the winner of the National Arts Award for the GUITAR category (competition open to all conservatory’s guitarists)

He regularly holds concerts, both in Italy and abroad, invited by important institutions such as the “Ravello Festival”, the “Rodolfo Lipizer Association”, the “Andres Segovia Festival” in Madrid, “The William Walton Foundation” of Forio d’Ischia, just to name a few, and in February 2014 it debuted at the “Wigmore Hall” in London, one of the most prestigious concert halls in the world.

 In 2013 he completed his first album “Welcome” for the label “NoVoices”. In April 2017 he released his new recording work “Mood Swings”, (SLR) a record dedicated to the figure of Maestro Roland Dyens and to the Jazz.

In May 2019 has completed the record of the DVD “Over the Mood”.
