Andrei Pițu graduated from the “Ștefan Luchian” High School in Botoșani and is currently pursuing his studies at the State University of Music and Performing Arts in Stuttgart. His journey with the guitar began in the 3rd grade under the guidance of Carmen Cojocariu, and since 2017, he has been honing his skills with professor Ștefan Trifan.
Since 2016, Andrei has participated in over 60 national and international competitions, consistently achieving top 4 placements. His notable accomplishments include securing second place at the “Anna Amalia Guitar Competition” in Weimar, Germany, and the “Volos International Guitar Festival” in Greece. Furthermore, he has claimed first place in the past four editions of the “Transilvania International Guitar Festival”, earning the Grand Prize in the highest category in the most recent edition.
Through his talent and dedication, Andrei Pițu stands out as one of the most promising guitarists of his generation, making significant contributions to the promotion of Romanian classical music on international stages.
