Kostadin Shotev is the creator and frontman of the STUDIO84 PROJECT group. It originated in 2015 as a musical project of the creative studio Studio 84 Art and Motion. It unites teachers from the school and musician friends in the common idea of creating original songs in Bulgarian with an emphasis on poetic texts and melodies. They prefer the acoustic, natural sound of the instruments and mix guitars and piano with accordion, harmonica, flute, cajon. They experiment freely in styles and invariably follow their goal of creating music with a message.
The band’s first studio album “Retro li?” was released in February 2021 and contains 11 original compositions based on texts by favorite Bulgarian poets.
